Entertain with Coex Partner Theaters: Performing arts program discounts for Coex Guests

Any attendee at a Coex-hosted event can now attend Korea’s top three performances in a discounted package deal.



NANTA, Jump! and Miso ? Korea’s most fun, engaging non-verbal performances ? have been hand-picked by Coex’s business tourism experts for a new performance discount program, available for all overseas attendees at any Coex-hosted event.
  • Individual Attendees: Individual attendees at Coex events can receive discounts of up to 10% on all show tickets. Attendees can call the chosen theater’s box office directly to make ticket reservations. Upon picking up the tickets on the day of the performance, attendees must present their Coex event entry badge to receive the ticket discount.
  • Association and buyer groups: For association meeting attendees or exhibition buyer groups of 20 and above, 20% discounts are available on ticket prices. Event or delegation organizers should contact the theater box office to arrange discounts.
  • Preview tickets: For event organizers who wish to preview a show before booking for an association or buyer group, free-of-charge preview tickets are available in small numbers. Please contact Coex to confirm your status as an organizer and obtain preview tickets.
  • The Performing Arts Program for Coex Guests will be available from November 2011 to October 2012.


NANTA: Comic Percussion Performance
'NANTA' is a non-verbal performance of free rhythmical movements that dramatize customary Korean percussions in a strikingly comedic stage show. Integrating unique Korean traditional drumbeats in a western performance style, NANTA storms into a huge kitchen where four capricious cooks are preparing a wedding banquet. While cooking, they turn all kinds of kitchen items - pots, pans, dishes, knives, chopping boards, water bottles, brooms and even each other- into percussion instruments.

JUMP! Comic Martial Arts Performance
JUMP! is an original Korean martial arts show that tells the story of an acrobatic family of expert fighters who must battle their way through family, love, and a gang of home burglars. This innovative show incorporates the best of Asia’s various martial arts, including Korea’s own taekwondo and taekkyun.

Miso, meaning “beautiful smile” in Korean, is a non-verbal re-enactment of Korea’s most famous love story: the legend of the heroic heroine Chun-hyang, her beloved Mong-ryong, and her evil pursuer, Byun Hak-do. At Miso, the audience can enjoy a selection of some of Korea’s most famous traditional performing arts, including a lyrical pansori, a traditional percussion quartet, a fan dance, and a shamanism exorcism ritual, all accompanied by the rich sounds of expert Korean instrumentalists. Detailed subtitles in English, Japanese, and Chinese, explain the performances.
